The Other End of the Tunnel – A Novel

254 Pages | Hardbound

This debut novel by author Manjusri Bhattacharya is about the life of a woman betrayed in marriage. The protagonist, Parna, is an efficient woman. She is a nurse at a state hospital and married out of love, yet the man she trusted, Rahul, failed to respect her sacrifice. Instead, he gets into a clandestine relationship with the maid of the house.

How does that impact Parna and her children, Riti and Tatai? How does Parna finally find closure through her daughter’s success? How does a failed marriage impact an otherwise normal household? And why does a man go haywire? This book answers many common questions that we keep asking in our everyday lives and also reflects the resolve of a woman who has the power to withstand everything with her dignity, love for her children, and the subtle resilience that every woman carries within herself.
